The Great Plains Justice & Mercy team is pleased to introduce our key partners in justice work in our conference. Each of these local non-profit organizations build the power of ordinary people to create community change. You can find United Methodists individuals and congregations involved at all levels of leadership in each of these groups.

In 2020, the Great Plains Conference established the Doing Justice Initiative / DJI in partnership with two national experts in local justice ministry, the Direct Action and Resource Training Center / DART and the Western Organization of Resource Councils / WORC. With $2.1 million in seed money from the Great Plains Conference, DART and WORC committed to build a network of new non-profit justice organizations across Kansas and Nebraska from 2020 to 2024. The organizations seeded through this effort (Good Faith Network, Churches United for Justice, Justice in Action, Justice Together, and the Nebraska Organizing Project) now provide partners on the ground to assist our congregations in working for solutions to complex local needs. Let Justice Roll!
