Rev. Verl Strong, 87; retired Great Plains Conference pastor. Born Oct. 9, 1937; died Feb. 4, 2025.
A graduate of College of Great Falls Montana and Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri, he served churches in Montana and Kansas, including Pittsburg Grace United Methodist Church, and after his retirement in 2000 served Frontenac and Opolis UMCs.
He married Nina Perez Biggerstaff on Aug. 6, 1983. She survives in the home. Other survivors include sons, Doug (Stephanie) Strong and Daryl (Marcia) Strong; stepdaughters, Georgeann (Tesia) Biggerstaff and Shalon (Jason) Jameson.
