Rev. Roger Gillming, 73; retired Great Plains Conference clergy. Born Jan. 27, 1952; died Sept. 7, 2025.
After graduating from Saint Paul School of Theology, he was ordained in 1979, and served Kearney First (associate), Republican City, Fairbury, Elwood, Burwell, Taylor, Kimball, Bushnell and Callaway in the former Nebraska Conference. He retired in 2022.
He was preceded in death by wives Lucinda Jantz, in 2002, and Schatzie Klusmeier in 2020.
Survivors include children, Josh (Jennifer) Gillming and Jessica (Conor) Cooper; five stepchildren; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at Kimball Trinity UMC. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at Cantrell Funeral Home, Kimball. Memorials may be given to Calvary United Methodist Church in Bushnell or Operation Christmas Child.
