Rev. Richard Zimmerman, 83; retired Great Plains Conference clergy. Born April 4, 1941; died Feb. 15, 2025.
He served Baptist and United Methodist churches, including former Kansas West Conference churches in Courtland, Kinsley, Bird City, Moscow, Phillipsburg, South Hutchinson and Burdett until his retirement in 2011.
He married Carolyn Fields on June 3, 1962. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2024.
Survivors include his children, Galen (Kim) Zimmerman, Stephen Zimmerman and Susan (Jon) McCoy; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Feb. 25. Memorials may be given to the A.L.S. Association or the The Parkinson's Foundation in care of Kaufman Funeral Home.
