Nicholas Woods, 84; retired Great Plains Conference pastor. Born June 20, 1940; died Dec. 15, 2024.
A U.S. Army veteran and graduate of Iliff School of Theology, Woods served as a United Methodist pastor from 1969 to 2012, including a 1973-1982 term as U.S. Army chaplain. He also served former Kansas West Conference churches in Ellis, Courtland, Minneapolis, Elkhart, Stockton and Healy, and Lebo in the Kansas East Conference.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth; sons, Thomas and Andrew (Jennifer); and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will take place at a later date at Eudora UMC.
