She married Rev. Bill Merriman on June 27, 1951. He served as pastor at Emporia First (associate), Lawrence Centenary, Pleasanton-Fairmount, Alta Vista, Galena-Neutral, Chetopa-Melrose, Powhattan-Everest, Hartner-Hazelton, Montezuma-Ensign and Ransom-Brownell until his retirement in June 1980. He died Jan. 7, 1999.
Survivors include her children, Joy Trollman, Dick Merriman (Margot Kelman), Brian Merriman and Sarah Merriman (Donna Geisler); seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at Lawrence First UMC. The family suggests memorial donations to Lawrence First.
