Since the removal of the discriminatory language in the Book of Discipline against LGBTQIA+ folks in 2024, there is hope and newness for how God might be prompting the Great Plains Conference toward a more inclusive reality. A subteam of Justice + Mercy team members and friends have begun to discern what this newness might look like. In the meantime, we invite you to attend a brief LGBTQ-led pop-up Communion service at the Great Plains Annual Conference on Friday, June 6th at the labyrinth on Kansas Wesleyan’s campus at 11:30 AM following the morning sessions.
