Rev. Gregory McCrimmon, 70; Great Plains Conference elder. Born May 9, 1955; died May 10, 2025.
After serving as pastor of Topeka Kansas Avenue UMC from 1996 to 2012, McCrimmon served the U.S. Army from 1985-1995, and the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander chaplain from 2003-2012. Upon retiring from the Navy, he continued serving as a staff chaplain at Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center Houston, from January 2012 to March 2025.
He is survived by his wife, Terrie Barber-McCrimmon; children, Nicholas McCrimmon and Diondra McCrimmon; one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:45 a.m. Friday, May 30, at American Heritage Funeral Home, Houston, with visitation prior and committal service following at Houston National Cemetery.
