From 1956 until his retirement in 1995, he served as a pastor at former Kansas West Conference churches in Iuka-Preston, Iuka-Byers-Cullison, Clifton, Bogue-Zurich, McCracken, Marquette, Great Bend (associate), Lakin-Kendall, Burdett-Rozel, Towanda-Benton, Wakeeney-Prairie Home, Peabody and Argonia.
Survivors include his children, David (Gail) Harms and Elizabeth (Derek) Slack; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at Wichita University UMC. Memorials have been established with University UMC and United Methodist Open Door.
