Welcome to the heart of our Cross-Racial/Cross-Cultural ministry—the families who make it possible. Behind every CRCC clergy member stands a family whose love, sacrifice, and support forms the foundation of this vital work.
"How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!" — Psalm 133:1
The journey of CRCC ministry extends beyond the pulpit into homes where spouses navigate cultural adjustments alongside their partners, where children become bridges between worlds, and where daily life becomes a testament to God's unifying love. These families embrace differences, overcome challenges, and celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that strengthen our conference.
Family members in CRCC ministries don't just provide behind-the-scenes support—they are active participants in building cross-cultural bridges. Spouses often serve as cultural interpreters, helping congregations understand different perspectives and traditions. Children naturally foster connections through school and community activities, breaking down barriers through friendship and shared experiences. Through hospitality, language skills, cultural knowledge, and their own gifts for ministry, family members create authentic relationships that enhance the entire congregation's cross-cultural journey. Their active involvement transforms CRCC ministry from an individual calling to a family mission that enriches our entire Great Plains conference.

Keep your eyes out for Bridges of Grace, a heartwarming collection of stories from our Cross-Racial/Cross-Cultural clergy families. Twice a year, we bring you beautiful stories of faith, calling, and ministry from our CRCC clergy families across the Great Plains Conference. Each story shares special moments, family journeys, and touching experiences of God's work in CRCC ministry.
"For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." — Romans 12:4-5
Look for these inspiring stories in GPConnect and our CRCC e-newsletter, where our clergy families open their hearts to share their amazing faith journeys with you.
