Barbara Decker, 88; widow of Great Plains Conference clergy. Died July 10, 2025.
She married her second husband, Rev. John Decker, Oct. 16, 1982. He served as pastor of Natoma-Pleasant Plains, Clifton-Agenda, Osborne, Arkansas City First, Abilene First, Wichita First (associate) and Garden City First, as well as named as Hutchinson District superintendent. He retired in 1995 and died Nov. 5, 2021.
She is survived by her sons, Todd Bays (Claire), Scott Bays (Kim); stepchildren, Patricia McMains (Randall) and David Decker (Ivy Arroyo); 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandsons,
Services were July 17 at Wichita First UMC. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 330 N. Broadway St., Wichita, KS 67202; Sedgwick County Zoo, 5555 W. Zoo Blvd., Wichita, KS 67212.
